Ancient Titanoboa and the modern green anaconda are considered among the largest snakes to have ever existed. The
green anaconda is the largest living snake today; its length typically reaches 5–7 meters, with a maximum of about 10–11
meters, and it can weigh up to 200 kilograms. It lives in the rivers and swamps of South America, hunts by ambush, and kills
its prey by constriction—tightening its coils each time the victim exhales.
It is important to note that the anaconda does not attack humans and usually avoids them; it may only react if it feels
threatened or if a person gets too close.
Titanoboa lived around 60 million years ago and is considered the largest snake in history. Its length reached approximately
12–15 meters, and its weight could exceed 1 ton. It inhabited hot, humid jungles and hunted large animals, including ancient
crocodile-like reptiles.
Despite its enormous size, it can be assumed that Titanoboa also would not have approached humans without reason
(although humans did not exist at that time) and, like modern giant snakes, would likely have reacted only when threatened.
